MENTORSHIP OVERVIEW
Scholars at all phases of the program will connect with multiple mentors and advisors, in order to support their trajectories from community college to high-wage industrial roles. Mentors will include:
- Community College faculty and professional advisors
- University of Oregon faculty and Tykesson College and Career advisors (undergraduate and graduate programs)
- Near-peer mentors (individuals who were recently at a similar career stage) who have progressed through the Knight Campus Graduate Internship Program into high-wage, high-demand roles
Mentoring will occur through one-on-one, small group and full group sessions which will cover topics such as Inclusion in STEM; Careers in Industry Panel; Transitioning from a 2- to 4- year College; Conveying Value on a Resume and during Interviews; and Mentee selected topics.
