- Up to $15,000
- Total award amount determined by UO’s Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships. Receipt of other UO Knight Campus scholarships may impact the total award, as this is a last-dollar scholarship per NSF requirements.

April 7, 2026. A notice of consideration will be sent to OPIRC finalists. This notice indicates you have 1) overall strength in your application and 2) high financial need as determined by UO’s Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships.

June 20, 2026. Finalized award amounts and full details will be sent to awardees. Depending on unmet financial need, scholarship amounts will range from $0-$15,000. In 2025, all OPIRC finalists received some level of scholarship, with most receiving competitive awards.

NOTE: Unfortunately we are unable to provide award notifications by an earlier date because award amounts require finalization of summer financial aid packages.
- Submit your 2025-26 FAFSA to University of Oregon (FASFA code 003223) by March 1, 2026 and
- Submit your 2026-27 FAFSA to University of Oregon (FASFA code 003223) by March 1, 2026 and
- Complete the following form to:
- Indicate your residency status. Residency may be verified post-award.
- Confirm that you have submitted a 2026-27 FAFSA to UO’s financial aid office (Apply for Financial Aid) by March 1, 2026 allowing the program to determine financial eligibility.
- Acknowledge that by applying for this scholarship, you are providing permission for the scholarship selection committee to confer with the KCGIP admissions team regarding the strength of your application and admissions status.
