NSF OPIRC Mentor Information

 

Applications are now open to be an NSF OPIRC Mentor! KCGIP students who are interested in applying should submit your application by Friday September 22^nd.

OPIRC is a $4.3M National Science Foundation grant that will support 64 low-income students as they move through community college to high-wage science and engineering careers via UO and the KCGIP. Supports include scholarship, mentorship from faculty and staff, and mentorship from you – near peers in the KCGIP! We are currently recruiting mentors for community college scholars and UO juniors (who have transferred from community college). Mentors are compensated for their efforts in a commitment of ~32 hours effort between October 2023 to August 2024.
