NSF OPIRC Mentor Information
Applications are now open to be an NSF OPIRC Mentor! KCGIP students who are interested in applying should submit your application by Friday September 22nd.
OPIRC is a $4.3M National Science Foundation grant that will support 64 low-income students as they move through community college to high-wage science and engineering careers via UO and the KCGIP. Supports include scholarship, mentorship from faculty and staff, and mentorship from you – near peers in the KCGIP! We are currently recruiting mentors for community college scholars and UO juniors (who have transferred from community college). Mentors are compensated for their efforts in a commitment of ~32 hours effort between October 2023 to August 2024.
